VINTAGE PAINTED LOUIS XV STYLE SHELL MIRROR

A vintage rectangular Louis XV style mirror in a distressed painted white finish.  The frame features a gently curving, asymmetrical silhouette characteristic of the Rococo aesthetic, with fluid lines. At the top, a prominent horizontal panel is richly carved with scroll and floral detailing and a carved shell motif. The distressed white finish enhances the frame,  settling softly into recesses to highlight the sculptural quality of the frame while imparting a timeworn patina.
